Save the Last Dance for Me!

On Nov. 9, we will be having our last dance. After more than 26 years, it will certainly be a bitter-sweet ending, This has been a big part of my life since I moved to Boston in 1986, and I am sad to see it end. But, I have heard that some friends are planning to bring cake for everyone. So, there’s your bitter and your sweet!

As previously, mentioned we will have TWO bands, Eight to the Bar (8:30-9:30) AND The Love Dogs (9:45-10:45) playing for this dance. They will end the night with a two-band finale till 11:30. There will be minimal interruptions, as we intend to dance as much as possible, this being our last time together. I do want to tell you about some things that will be going on.

Video taping: Chris Hugo has agreed to videotape at this last dance. One of his main functions will be to tape people’s thoughts/memories about the dance and/or their good-byes. It should make for an entertaining video to watch in my old age!

Special Farewell Dance Jam – Come dance with me one last time

Comments: My farewell letter is on this website. It would be great if you could read it and leave your comments there. I do appreciate all the great feedback I have gotten so far.

I’m looking forward to this dance and I hope all of my old friends and dance supporters will come out to help celebrate the end of the dance series with a big bang. See you on November 9.

Roger
